What’s It About? This one day Environmental Awareness at Work qualification provides an introduction of key issues for employees and offers them an opportunity to consider how sustainability can work for them and their organisation. It highlights the role workers can play in improving organisational environmental performance and will aid understanding of environmental impacts and risk control as well as the climate issues. It meets the training requirement for organisations implementing ISO 14001. What Will You Gain? This qualification offers a basic understanding of environmental impacts and risk control. It provides an introduction to implementing ISO 14001. The qualification has global relevance and covers the principles of environmental management, not UK specific law. On returning to the workplace, you will know how to make your organisation more sustainable, how to talk about environmental matters. Who Should Attend? This Environmental Awareness at Work training is ideal for learners with no prior knowledge. There are no entry requirements and previous attendees have included: managers, supervisors, team leaders and facilities staff. There is an online end of course multiple-choice test to gain certification. The exam is taken online once the course has been completed. Why’s It Important? Understanding the economic, environmental, and social impacts offers organisations opportunities to improve their financial and environmental performance.
